Day 5: Disney's Magic Kingdom!

Our fifth day in Florida was spent in Disney's Magic Kingdom - the happiest place on earth :)  Unfortunately, we had a little bit (sometimes a lot) of rain, but that didn't damper our day too much!

 Welcome to Main Street, U.S.A.!

Our first part of the morning was spent in Tomorrowland and our first ride was Tomorrowloand Speedway

Ahh! Jade's driving! At least she kept her eyes on the road :)

While in Tomorrowland, we also rode Space Mountain, Stitch's Great Escape, and visited Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor! Honestly, the Laugh Floor was something I had never done before, and it is one of my new favorites in Disney - you must take the time to do this while in Magic Kingdom - it's sooo funny!

We left Tomorrowland for Fantasyland, and we rode the classics!

Peter Pan's Flight

It's a Small World (we had to - remember, it was the girls' first trip to Disney...)

Mad Tea Party - we are in the turquoise tea cup!

The girls and Anthony cooled off in this water playground - of course later, nature would do the same thing for us all!

I am NOT a fan of clowns! I'm sure their street show was great for those who enjoy them, but I kept on walking.

Next we headed to Liberty Square and Disney's Haunted Mansion - another classic that is always fun!

By mid-afternoon, the storm was about to roll in to Disney, complete with a downpour. We happened to be hanging out in Adventureland, and Anthony and I had gone up into the Swiss Family Treehouse with the girls when the downpour started. Our ponchos were with our mom - at the bottom of the treehouse!

We hid out in the covered parts of the tree house the best we could, but it didn't help too much! We finally got back down and the girls got their ponchos on for the first time that day!

After the rain shower, we decided we needed another ice cream break - this time Mickey Mouse style! Word to the wise - those Mickey ice cream ears are cute on a stick, but they will fall off the stick in no time. You're better off with the Mickey ice cream sandwich!

We finished off Adventureland with a ride on yet another classic, Pirates of the Caribbean before moving on to try out Mickey and Minnie ears!

 Such a magical place!

Next we headed to Frontierland, where we had a really fun ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This was a really fun ride, and I'm so glad the girls aren't afraid of any rides - they always wanted to put their hand up in the air before the ride ever took off! I feel sorry for my mom and brother the first time we went to Disney because I was the opposite of these girls - I was scared of everything until we rode it once (I love them now, but not at 10)!

Chloe and I on Splash Mountain! At the end of this ride, Chloe announced to everyone waiting in line on how "not scary at all" this ride was.

 Cinderella's castle!

The official Minnie ears - complete with their names!

 Waiting on Disney's Electrical Parade

By this time, it was almost 11:00 p.m., and we were on day 5 of going non-stop, all day. We were all a little exhausted!

The parade was great, but we were all spent! As much fun as we were all having, we were glad the next day would be spent as a relaxing day at the beach!

Day 4: Disney's Hollywood Studios

On our fourth day in Florida, we headed to Disney's Hollywood Studios. We had been warned that we should get our Fast Passes for the Toy Story ride first thing in the morning, and it was a good thing we did - our fast passes weren't good until almost the end of the day! With our tickets in hand, we headed off to explore the rest of the park.

We took a trip through the Walt Disney museum - "Walt Disney: One Man's Dream" which explores the life and legacy of Disney himself.

And then we ran into Minnie Mouse!

And Stitch from Lilo & Stitch

We enjoyed a fun time experiencing Muppet-Vision 3D

Caught Pluto playing tricks on unsuspecting visitors!

Saw the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular

Then we headed to Lights, Motor, Action! Extreme Stunt show - complete with high-speed chases (cars, boats, and jet-skis), fiery explosions, and men falling from 5-story buildings! You also get a pretty great view of the park from atop the bleachers!

From the stunt shows, we headed to something a little more "Disney" - a short adaptation play of Beauty and Beast.

We took a stroll down Hollywood Boulevard

And enjoyed a much needed ice cream break!

We headed back to Pixar to finally ride Toy Story Midway Mania where we ran into one of Andy's green Army men!

 Waiting for our scheduled time...

And finally got to use these invaluable fast passes! We got these almost 12 hours before we were able to use them!

 Finally inside!

The ride is worth the wait - with fast pass! Be sure to get yours early if you go :) When the ride was over, it was time to head over to the night time show - Fantasmic!

The amphitheater starting to fill up

Playing games with the audience while we wait on the show in our front row seats - spectator beware - you will get splashed!

And then it was time for the 30-minute firework and water extravaganza!

Such a cool show filled with all of our favorite Disney characters!

Our last ride of the night was also one of our first of the day- Hollywood's Tower of Terror. Chloe LOVED this ride, so we took advantage of the short lines at the end of the night, and got in a few more rides before the park closed!

Having fun with the many hats of Disney!

This was another super fun day at Disney with these sweet girls!
