Day 6: Cocoa Beach!

After 5 fun, full days of theme parks, we were ready for a relaxing day on the beach, so we headed out to Cocoa Beach for the day! This was the girls' first trip to the beach! (It also happens to be the first beach I ever visited when we were on our first trip to Florida, so it was fun to see them experience it for the first time, too!) This post doesn't need too much describing - it was just a fun day spent doing nothing except enjoying the waves, sand, and sun!

 Our cartwheel queen, Jade :)

All the girls drew their own names in the sand - Chloe made hers complete with a heart sunshine.

 Haleigh Paige!

 Sisters enjoying the water!

 Two little mermaids!

After a full day on the beach, we headed to a local dive restaurant Anthony wanted to try, Jazzy's Mainely Lobster and Seafood. I'm not one for seafood, but pretty much everyone else is, and this place was REALLY good!

Of course, we had to finish off the day (and our time in Florida) with a piece of Key Lime Pie :)

It was a great way to spend our last day in Florida, and we had such a great trip! Thanks to our Mom (a.k.a. Granny Karen) for making it possible - we love you and know you're the best! Until next time, Florida!

Day 5: Disney's Magic Kingdom!

Our fifth day in Florida was spent in Disney's Magic Kingdom - the happiest place on earth :)  Unfortunately, we had a little bit (sometimes a lot) of rain, but that didn't damper our day too much!

 Welcome to Main Street, U.S.A.!

Our first part of the morning was spent in Tomorrowland and our first ride was Tomorrowloand Speedway

Ahh! Jade's driving! At least she kept her eyes on the road :)

While in Tomorrowland, we also rode Space Mountain, Stitch's Great Escape, and visited Monsters, Inc. Laugh Floor! Honestly, the Laugh Floor was something I had never done before, and it is one of my new favorites in Disney - you must take the time to do this while in Magic Kingdom - it's sooo funny!

We left Tomorrowland for Fantasyland, and we rode the classics!

Peter Pan's Flight

It's a Small World (we had to - remember, it was the girls' first trip to Disney...)

Mad Tea Party - we are in the turquoise tea cup!

The girls and Anthony cooled off in this water playground - of course later, nature would do the same thing for us all!

I am NOT a fan of clowns! I'm sure their street show was great for those who enjoy them, but I kept on walking.

Next we headed to Liberty Square and Disney's Haunted Mansion - another classic that is always fun!

By mid-afternoon, the storm was about to roll in to Disney, complete with a downpour. We happened to be hanging out in Adventureland, and Anthony and I had gone up into the Swiss Family Treehouse with the girls when the downpour started. Our ponchos were with our mom - at the bottom of the treehouse!

We hid out in the covered parts of the tree house the best we could, but it didn't help too much! We finally got back down and the girls got their ponchos on for the first time that day!

After the rain shower, we decided we needed another ice cream break - this time Mickey Mouse style! Word to the wise - those Mickey ice cream ears are cute on a stick, but they will fall off the stick in no time. You're better off with the Mickey ice cream sandwich!

We finished off Adventureland with a ride on yet another classic, Pirates of the Caribbean before moving on to try out Mickey and Minnie ears!

 Such a magical place!

Next we headed to Frontierland, where we had a really fun ride on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. This was a really fun ride, and I'm so glad the girls aren't afraid of any rides - they always wanted to put their hand up in the air before the ride ever took off! I feel sorry for my mom and brother the first time we went to Disney because I was the opposite of these girls - I was scared of everything until we rode it once (I love them now, but not at 10)!

Chloe and I on Splash Mountain! At the end of this ride, Chloe announced to everyone waiting in line on how "not scary at all" this ride was.

 Cinderella's castle!

The official Minnie ears - complete with their names!

 Waiting on Disney's Electrical Parade

By this time, it was almost 11:00 p.m., and we were on day 5 of going non-stop, all day. We were all a little exhausted!

The parade was great, but we were all spent! As much fun as we were all having, we were glad the next day would be spent as a relaxing day at the beach!
