Day 2: Disney's EPCOT

On our second day, we got up early (note to everyone: when you go to Orlando, it's a lot of really late nights and early mornings) and headed to EPCOT. We spent the day exploring the different countries of the world and meeting a lot of Disney characters! This post is going to be picture overload because we spent most of this day meeting princesses and other characters :)

Jade and I on the tram to the park

Haleigh

Anthony and Chloe

This was the girls' first time to see characters, so Chloe was a little shy the first time. Daffy Duck was the first one we met.

Goofy!

Hanging out at Monsters University

And then we were on to Canada

And the UK

We met Alice in the UK. She was hands down the best character we saw. She had Alice down - mannerisms, voice, sayings, everything. She asked the girls how they got there, and being shy, they didn't say anything. She said did you drive, fly, follow the white rabbit? Or did they just wake up and were here? Because she knew Sleeping Beauty had that problem :)

She didn't like to say "cheese!" because she was afraid the door mice would come out and she didn't actually have any cheese. So instead, you said "tea!" We all were impressed with Alice!

We stopped to meet Mary Poppins

And then headed to France!

These men were in the middle of a street show when we got to France. He had stacked these chairs himself, climbed up them, and eventually climbed down and unstacked them as he handed them to his assistant.

We met Sleeping Beauty (all the characters are in their "home" countries)

And then ate lunch in a french cafe; this was fun because we ordered things Mom and I ate last July in Paris. Including the pastries. Oh, I miss the pastries.

The girls had some fun with their sunglasses while we waited in line

To meet Belle! The girls asked why she didn't have on her yellow dress, and she said she only wears it for dancing.

Next we headed to Morocco to meet Jasmine and Aladdin.

I wanted in on this pic because I know someone who used to be Aladdin at Disney World. This guy was good, but I'm sure you were better, Frankie!

Hanging out in Japan...

And then to Germany to meet Snow White. Mom made the girls' autograph books, and we got several comments from characters wanting to know where we got them and expressing that they really liked them. Snow White kept asking Mom where they came from because she was convinced it must be "magic" :)

After standing in lines in the middle of the day, we were ready to cool off. We stopped to get a frozen coke and play in the misters.

That water bottle/fan was probably the best purchase we made all week. It was really a lifesaver.

To get out of the sun, we headed to "The Seas" ride with Nemo and Friends.

Once you get off the ride, they have a really cool aquarium with all kinds of animals that were featured in the movie.

We spotted Mickey in the tank

Hanging out with "nemo"

Everyone else got in this shark and smiled. Leave it to Chloe to climb in and do this:

We saw our first firework/water show of the week at IllumiNations.

We headed home when the park closed after a very fun, very full day. We had to get some rest for our next day back at Universal Studios!
