Bon Appetit!

Where we are staying has a shared kitchen, but honestly, we haven't used it once. I'm that annoying tourist who wants to take a picture of everything we eat - but I did it just so I could show you all some of the great food we've had while we are here. hope you're not hungry while you read this :)

There's pizza (with wonderful cheese and great thin crust)

This was the best pizza -we went back two days in a row it was so good

These delicious ham and cheese sandwiches with cheese on top

And other good sandwiches, paninis, or bruschetta for lunch.

A good pasta salad we had with lunch one day

A great thing about Parisian cafes and restaurants is they usually have what they call a "formula". We usually do this for dinner. You choose a menu depending on how much you want to spend, they typically offer menus between 10-20€ (unless you're somewhere fancy), then choose an appetizer, main entree, and dessert from that menu. Watch them though, they'll raise the prices for the same menu depending on the time you eat. We usually get the best deal between 6:30-7:30.

Two of my favorite appetizers are onion soup (very French, apparently)

And mozzarella and tomatoes - side note, Paris has the absolute BEST tomatoes I've ever had. Which is good for me because I love tomatoes.

One night, Kody tried escargot that someone ordered as an appetizer. Verdict - I think he liked it.

Then come the main entrees. Honestly, my favorite thing is all the sauce on everything-delicious. I've had most of these things a few times because they are so good and each restaurant does their version a little differently.

Yummy chicken and fries that taste like George's in FS

Another type of chicken and sauce with very good potatoes

Steak in pepper sauce -so, so good!

Another steak in pepper sauce (one above was way better)

And finally, we get to dessert. Besides the sauces , the best thing about Paris food are the pastries and gelato. Yum, yum, yum.

I <3 tarts so much.

These lemon ones were fabulous (as they all are).

There is chocolate cake, croissants, and this amazing chocolate au pain.

Chocolate mousse - the good ones taste like chocolate frosting from the can

Delicious crepes - they come like this in a restaurant

Or like this from a stand

And of course, there's gelato. I'm stuck on the strawberry and banana. Kody got vanilla and chocolate a lot.

Mixed together they are so good. And they will make them look like pretty flowers

Hungry yet? I wasn't until I wrote this.
