Moulin Rouge and the Sacrè-Coeur Basilica

I'm losing track of my days over here, but the next group of pictures I have are from a day we went to the Moulin Rouge and the Sacrè-Coeur. We've considered going to a show at the Moulin Rouge, but it's quite expensive and a shady part of town, so we'll see. Regardless, we wanted to at least say we had been.

Then we headed to the Sacrè-Coeur. I'm so glad we did. It sits upon the highest hill in Paris and with a clear day, it had spectacular views from the dome. To save energy for the dome, we took the funiculaire from the base of the hill to the base of the church.

Ready to head up our 300 stairs for the day.

They are so fun.

But always so worth it.

They say visibility is 30 miles across the city from here on a clear day!

We also went inside the crypt, but it was weird and depressing, so I didn't take any pictures. You're welcome.

On the way back down the hill, we went into a confectionary shop where we found the best chocolate filled biscuits (cookies, as we know them) and caramels. They were so good in fact, Kody and I trekked all the way back across Paris two days later to get some more!
