Paris Markets

At home, I get excited when the Farmer's Market on the square in Fayetteville starts it's Saturday morning season. In Paris, you can find that type of open-air market just about every day.
You can find fruit

Cheese - I was excited about this until I smelled it. This isn't cheddar, folks. And they are right next to the fish that are laying on ice. I hold my breath and walk on through, but maybe you would like it.

Clothes, jewelry, shoes and purses

And the most beautiful flowers - for great prices. I would so be attending these things all the time if I lived here.

And then there's a totally different type of market that I LOVE - antique/garage sale. This one is only open on the weekends, but they have the coolest stuff. Too bad for a suitcase weight limit (and not so endless bank account). You can find dishes (many I would have bought if I could get them back), clothes, old and new jewelry, vases, purses, vintage scarves, and a million other little trinkets. I can't wait to go back next weekend (we ran out of time and didn't see everything trying to get to Tour de France this weekend). I so wish we had one of these every weekend at home.

They even provide entertainment :)

Honestly, the markets are one of my favorite things of Paris. Good thing you can find one basically every day! We are headed back to hopefully find some good treasures at the antique one the day before we head home!
