Buckingham Palace

Early Thursday morning we headed to London. We took the Eurostar-it goes over 200 mph and gets you there in about 2 hours. Pretty cool. Anyway, we got to London early Thursday morning and after dropping our bags at the hotel, we headed to Buckingham Palace.

We decided to do the State Room tour which included the Queen's Diamond Jubilee exhibition. Unfortunately, no pictures are allowed inside, but here are a few of the things we saw courtesy of a Google search.

One word for the following -- Ahhhmazing.

I'm still accepting birthday gifts ;)

We were able to get a few shots inside the grounds.

Even with the Queen herself! :)

And we went back two days later to see the Changing of the Guard, and we had the perfect seats.

We were already loving London, but we had even more exciting things in store for our first day... Enough so that it deserves it's own post (or three).
